Beaulieu Cottage
Come and spend your holiday in the Charente, one of the sunniest places in France, with its gently rolling hills and fields of sunflowers, corn and vineyards. We are within easy travelling distance of Angoulême, Limoges, Poitiers, La Rochelle and Bordeaux airports and the Channel ports.
Our light, airy, spacious, stone built cottage gîte is perfect for families, with its double bedroom and twin bedroom. A cot and highchair are available on request.
There's an enclosed garden where the children can safely play and a gorgeous swimming pool just waiting for you to jump into on a warm, sunny day. The kitchen is fully equipped and there's a barbecue area outside where you can relax with a glass of wine after a busy day of sightseeing and exploring.
We're situated in a tranquil, almost traffic free, rural setting but with a minimarket at Champagne Mouton, just a few minutes drive away. A complete range of shops is available at Ruffec (about 15 minutes drive), including a supermarket with a comprehensive English food section.
The beautiful town of Verteuil-sur-Charente with its imposing, fairy-tale château, bars and restaurants is even closer for those evenings when you just want someone else to cook for you and to sample the local delicacies.
Come and meet our child friendly dogs and cats, and taste fresh eggs from our own chickens. Relax in a sun lounger by the pool with a good book while the children tire themselves out. This is the perfect self catering family holiday to experience traditional France.
There's plenty to do during the day, the gîte is ideally situated for many of the tourist attractions in the area that cater for children and adults of all ages. There will be an information pack as well as a welcome pack of basic essentials in the gîte and we are on site to help.
